Ian McEwan, the author of our third course text, Atonement, has his own website, http://www.ianmcewan.com/ (naturally), with useful information and good study support for the student.Two controversies currently surround the author, one a plagiarism charge, the other a conflict with militant Islam (in which McEwan is joined by left-wing polemicist Christopher Hitchens and uncertain-wing novelist Martin Amis--not to mention Salman Rushdie.)
